History of SAI/ About Us
Sigma Alpha Iota was founded on June 12, 1903 at the University School of Music in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As an international music fraternity, we are actively involved and interested in the value and importance of music all over campus and the world. We work closely with faculty, administration, campus, and community groups, including music professionals and patrons. SAI has long been regarded as a leader in the field of music, providing lifelong contact and sisterhood.
What do we do?
Our chapter meets once a week, joining together to make sisterhood, social, community and service activities a reality throughout the semester. We work with the music department in planning events such as the Faculty Auction and Faculty Brunch. We have recitals throughout the year, now being performed once a month. We are involved all over campus, helping wherever we can! And most importantly, we are sisters!
