Ellie DigginsYear in School: Sophomore
Major(s)/Minor(s): UX Design and Psychology Instrument(s): Percussion Ensemble(s): Symphonic Winds and Percussion Ensemble Hometown: Normal, IL Why did you join SAI? Even though I’m not a music major, music has always been a big part of my life. SAI lets me connect with others who share the same love of music! Why did you decide to go to Bradley? I loved all the opportunities Bradley had to offer! From the resources my professors provide to all the clubs and organizations, to the friends I’ve made, Bradley has been the perfect place to allow me to explore a wide range of interests and make lifelong connections without feeling overwhelmed about what will come after graduation. Why did you choose your major(s)/minor(s)? In high school, I studied computer science and completed a few group projects that consisted of making mobile apps, but could never envision myself doing it as a career. I realized that I preferred the beginning stages of our app development process like discovering where the issues lay and asking potential clients what they were looking for before designing a product concept. When I found the UX design major, I knew right away that it was what I wanted to study. Plans after graduation? I haven’t thought that far ahead yet, but would love to concentrate on user research and emphasize accessibility in UX design in some way. Favorite college memory? Producing and participating in FUSE—the end of the year showcase for the interactive media department—for my first time was really neat to experience. Favorite SAI memory? Due to the membership requirements, I officially joined SAI the second semester of my freshman year, but being able to meet and spend time with everyone my first semester was really fun! |
